Sentri: I will now give a brief report on status of Bordermarch.

Sentri: We suffered destruction of our southwest tower prior to the attack by Blyth's forces.
Sentri: The attack destroyed our munition stores.
Sentri: In addition, the attack has strained our stockpiles of other supplies,
Sentri: Such as clean bandages and food.
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: *frowns*
Farimer Tensus: *looks around nervously*
Sentri: We have asked our allies to help with emergency shipments to the fortress.
Sentri: Until such time as the normal Royal Navy can resupply us.
Sentri: We also plan to rebuild the damaged tower.
Sentri: But there are a few issues with getting the stone mined from the same source.
Sentri: For example, actually hiring enough miners and stone masons to do the work.
Sentri: And to protect them in the dangerous elements near the location.
Kysanthe: *notes that would be easier if we had a Gargoyle representative*
Sentri: The stone quarry we used has some nearby dangers.
Tanda: *tilts head*
Sentri: This is a problem that is difficult to solve from Bordermarch.
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: *frowns* In my country, royalty is handed flowers.
Sentri: But as soon as we have hired the workers, I may ask for help guarding them.
John: *nods*
Sentri: Then there is the issue of what to do about Fenelon.
Sentri: He was responsible for planting the explosives that damaged the tower.
Tanda: *nods*
Sentri: But that situation is mitigated by several factors.
Sentri: First, Captain Blythe held his debt and contract of servitude from Nujel'm.
Sentri: Second, Blythe threatened Fenelon's young daughter.
Sentri: We do not have any cells at Bordermarch.
Sentri: And the temporary holdings we have are cruel in the long term.
Thom Jameison: cruel can be good
Sentri: He attacked this fortress and hurt several of my soldiers.
Sentri: But I do feel sympathy for the terrible position he was in.
Matthias O'Hare: *looks at Thom*
Sentri: I would like to ask your opinion on what to do with him.
Kysanthe: compassion should guide us
Matthias O'Hare: *murmurs evidently there is no Compassion in the city of Valor*
John: *whispering to Tanda*
John: *nodding to Tanda*
Kysanthe: that he was put in that position was dastardly - the true enemy is the one that controlled him
Dot Warner: He should receive a proper trial.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: *nods*
Sentri: Blythe is dead. He fell outside Bordermarch.
Thom Jameison: *nods*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Justice should prevail with a proper trial.
Silrien Aegnor: That would put a damper on a proper trial.
John: *softly* Beat him up, break his nose, knock out a few teeth....
John: Then send him to some kind of safety.
John: A trial would make him suffer far more,

John: than any beating would.
Sentri: I would suggest that since he admitted to the crime, a sentencing hearing be enough.
Matthias O'Hare: Justice! I demand Justice!
John: And the one controlling him is dead.
Dark Night X: I demand the evil should be put to death

Kysanthe: I think justice has been met with the end of Blythe
Captain Riley: but I suggest we all remember why he was forced to do it

Sentri: First question, where should I send him for sentencing?

Kysanthe: He was honest - surely we have a cook position in the Lycaeum he and his daughter could tend

Dot Warner: That would hardly be an impartial sentence then...
Captain Riley: I suggest somewhere safer than yew
Silrien Aegnor: Get out the torches and pitchforks and damn the virtues and Justice?

Miss Kitty: we have to many opinions and emotions involved here. we should let Sentri decide

Tanda: have no issues with merchants and vessels in our waters
Tanda: we are still trying to establish

Tanda: the mission last night to bring fresh water to Cove was attacked
Tanda: we are a long way from having safe seas for our merchants

Dark Night X: I think its not the cities doing more like people who wants to destroy peace of those cities
Tanda: It is a start, thus far that is what we have managed to iron out

Thom Jameison: The survey addresses many of Jhelom’s concerns in a positive manner.

Thom Jameison: I do believe Jhelom should be allowed a naval presence as far north as this island.

Thom Jameison: We believe in free trade and the ships of all cities should travel

Captain Riley: we both agree that the pirate threat is growing correct governor
Thom Jameison: Our issues with Skara Brae stem from the current Governors
Thom Jameison: predecessor sailing into our waters and stopping ships.

Thom Jameison: I feel because of Skara Braes hostile actions we should have an outpost on Dragon Island to keep

Sentri: The map the Governor of Minoc provided me shows Jhelom adequate sea rights north of its lands.
Sentri: But if your worry is that pirates may skirt this border.
Sentri: I can ask Bordermarch's privateers to focus on the Dragon Isle waters bordering Jhelom's seas.

Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: He does not want to limit future Nujel'm colonies.
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: Also, we take issue with some of Nujel'm's traditions on legal servitude being attacked.
Miss Kitty: of course we do. we want to rule the entire land
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: Such contracts are mutually beneficial to the parties involved.
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: We do not wish for political asylum to be used to free those who entered such legal contracts.

Willa of the Yew-Wood: If the contract is so binding and freely offered then you ought not worry about anyone seeking asylum..... as they are pleased to serve.
Miss Kitty: whoa, my fellow gov and I may actually agree on something
Miss Kitty: that’s rarer than Skara and Jhelom agreeing on something
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: Imprisonment is often necessary, when someone refuses to pay their lawful debts.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Otherwise I would suppose that these contracts aren't so freely agreed and offered.
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: Have some sympathy for the merchants who are otherwise cheated.
Dot Warner: Were someone to request asylum due to being bound in one of these contracts, perhaps they are not as consensual as you'd like to believe.
Tanda: Sacrifice of wealth for the greater good is often necessary as well
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: I am not surprised that some would try to avoid their lawful obligations,
Kysanthe: Not to take Nu'jelm's side - but potentially one could enter a contract, reap the benefits then flee for asylum while bilking Nu'jelm residents
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: if a foreign countries offers them a free and easy way out of them.

Silrien Aegnor: What if the merchant is lying in order to take lands or other properties from said "debtor"?
Tanda: Slavery is still slavery regardless of what name you tack on it
Dark Night X: its a small island with only one city they need our help
Princess Zaida of Nujel'm: If they were not, then all would default. Those who paid would be thought fools.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Well I would say that if you have so many indentured serving that perhaps you might need to look into your economy
Willa of the Yew-Wood: And wonder then why folk need to not pay their debts in order to live.
Dot Warner: What of predatory lending practices?
